I help perfectionistic and overwhelmed people learn skills to calm their nervous system and reduce anxiety in order to
lead happier, shame-resilient lives
lead happier, shame-resilient lives
Many of us keep pushing forward, sleep-deprived and anxious because we've always done it this way. Organizing and scheduling every hour of the day has sometimes led to great success and external validation. People have often praised you for being helpful, smart, and reliable. If you just dedicate the time, you believe you can fix any problem that others present to you. This works until the feeling of overwhelm presses down on your heart and you know you can no longer go forward in the same way.
People often enter my office in a maxed out state, looking for tools to reduce the noise in order to feel better. My role is collaborate with you in order to understand where these beliefs began and how we can create new story lines to support more compassionate ways of thinking. Together we'll examine beliefs about not "being good enough" and build a truer, more wholehearted view of you as a human. Inside and outside of session, we'll explore resources like breath work, meditation, hypnosis, educational reading, and self-care.
You don't have to continue trying to manage this pressure all on your own. Saying "yes" to therapy may open the doorway for greater understanding and chart a new way to live a fuller, more connected life.
